Oakland Athletics outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is no stranger to incredible throws as he had one recently that was so good the internet literally turned it into a fireball.

Well it looks like Cespedes is at it again.

This time his victim was Marlins outfield Giancarlo Stanton. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Marlins had a base hit about halfway into left field. With most outfielders, waving home Stanton would have been a good idea. But this wasn’t just any outfielder. Cespedes fired off another cannon throw towards home to catch Stanton just in time. Not only did the throw save a run, it ended the inning a long with it.

This was just criminal of the Marlins third base coach. While in the majority of situations it would have been smart to wave Stanton home, it wasn’t this time. As a coach, he should have been aware who was throwing in that situation, and his history of throwing guys home. There is no need to test Cespedes’s arm again. He’s proven time and time again, he can and will throw you out.

While the third base coach had a mental oops, I guess it’s okay to let it slide just this once. He might have just trusted in Stanton’s speed a little too much. It’s okay to have a lot of trust in one of your better players.
