Well, that escalated quickly. After rumors began to surface that connected Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd to the Milwaukee Bucks, it appears that a deal could soon be made official.

More from Brooklyn Nets

According to multiple reports, the Bucks have offered up a second-round pick to the Nets in exchange for Kidd.

If the deal is accepted by Brooklyn, Kidd would become the new head coach in Milwaukee.

The Nets had given Kidd permission to speak with the Bucks over the weekend, so they may be willing to part ways with the coach and pull the plug on a failed one-year experiment.

Brooklyn is also without draft picks for the foreseeable future, so any pick they can get their hands on should be intriguing for the team.

This has all been a very bizarre turn of events, but Kidd could very well be patrolling the sidelines in Milwaukee just one year from now.

In Milwaukee, Kidd would have a talented young roster that is completely unlike the group of aging players he was forced to coach in Brooklyn. Milwaukee may not be an attractive location for free agents, but the Bucks already have something great going.
