Houston declined the fourth year option on Chandler Parsons over the weekend and while they may still bring him back, such a thing is a lot easier said than done.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the Houston Rockets will have competition when it comes to getting Chandler Parsons back
"The Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks have primary interest in signing Anthony as a free agent, but also could chase Parsons if they don’t, a source said."
This is something we really haven’t considered up to this point as no one is expecting to lose out on Carmelo Anthony despite the fact that someone is going to have to in the end . That’s where Parsons’ market heats up and it’s where the Rockets could lose out on everything.
If they can’t land Love in a Parsons trade, they may end up losing out on LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony which would then mean there is competition to land Parsons with other teams. The bottom line is that the Rockets are gambling big time with their offseason plans and they just need to hope that they know what they’re doing so none of it blows up in their face.
