The Los Angeles Clippers are looking at ways they can get better this offseason as it appears they’re now closer than ever to winning a title now that Doc Rivers is in town and the roster is coming together.

More from Brooklyn Nets

They still seem to be a piece or two away from being true title contenders in a stout Western Conference and we may see a reunion between Doc Rivers and one of his old players thanks to the recent debacle with the Brooklyn Nets and Jason Kidd.

According to Los Angeles Times reporter Brad Turner, the Los Angeles Clippers are showing an interest in Paul Pierce and they are starting to believe that the Jason Kidd situation has opened up a better opportunity to snatch Pierce away from Brooklyn this summer.

This isn’t earth shattering information in the slightest as the Clippers were always looking to be a team that could get in the running for Paul Pierce thanks to the deep connections he has with Doc Rivers.

That doesn’t make the Clippers the only team who will court Pierce but given the fact that they’re title ready and they have Doc Rivers running the team, it’s hard to not consider them frontrunners at this point.
