The Minnesota Timberwolves were expected to trade Kevin Love this summer but so far they haven’t either been able to find a trade they like or just can’t handle dealing him at the moment.

More from Chicago Bulls

Love isn’t a free agent, but now that the period has opened officially he will be factoring into decisions that teams make. He may not be someone that teams choose over signing Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James, as acquiring either of those two players requires a lot less than if Love were to be acquired, but the Wolves forward is factoring into the backup plans of teams in pursuit of top free agents.

The Golden State Warriors once again seem like the best landing spot for Love as even after the draft they have the best assets to offer. The Chicago Bulls had draft picks to sweeten the deal and the Houston Rockets still had Omer Asik but things could get interesting with Love once teams start deciding on who they want to sign and those players decide who they want to play for.
