LeBron James rumors: Agent to meet with Suns, Rockets, Mavericks
Every team would love to have a shot at signing four-time MVP, LeBron James, but that’s not a realistic possibility after he opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat. However, the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks will get their chance to make their best case to his agent, Rich Paul, this week.

According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, that trio of Western Conference teams will get a chance to make their case as all signs still point to James re-signing with the Miami Heat.
Could this be a case of an agent just doing his job or is there legit interest from James in playing for these teams. Remember, an agent works for his client, not the other way around, so this is an interesting development, even if James will not be in attendance for the meeting.
The Suns have a ton of salary cap space to offer James the max contract he covets and could still have enough money left in the wallet to sign Carmelo Anthony to a lucrative deal as the two have mentioned their fondness for playing together.
The Rockets would still need to shed some salary to give him a max deal and the Mavericks could find a way to make the dollars work if Dirk Nowitzki is willing to take a little less to welcome the best player on the planet.
If the meetings with Paul go well, we may see a followup meeting with James in attendance and that will surely set off a firestorm in the NBA should he elect to sign with one of these teams.
