New York Knicks’ forward Carmelo Anthony is having quite the good time this week.

More from Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony opted out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent and will have teams wining and dining him until he ultimately comes to a decision.

The Chicago Bulls were the first team to get the shot to speak with Anthony. He visited and toured the Bulls’ facilities on Tuesday, watched former MVP point guard Derrick Rose work out, then had dinner with Bulls’ players Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson, head coach Tom Thibodeau, general manager Gar Forman and owner Jerry Reinsdorf.

Then, on Wednesday, it was the Houston Rockets’ turn to meet with Anthony. The Rockets tried to sell Anthony on playing with two other superstars, center Dwight Howard and guard James Harden and they even had a meeting with both Howard and Harden. Then, it was off to Dallas to visit Mark Cuban and the Mavericks in what was described as a more low key, private meeting. Next up for Anthony will be a trip to Los Angeles to speak with the Lakers.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles, the Lakers are “lazer focused” on their meeting with Anthony Thursday.

Anthony put up 27.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and shot 45.2% from the field, 40.2% from beyond the arc and 84.8% from the free throw line last season.
