As a result,t he team is starting to become players on the free agent market and we are seeing that in their pursuit of their own players like Marcin Gortat and others who they’re looking to bring on, like former Oklahoma City Thunder guard Thabo Sefolosha.
According to David Aldridge from TNT and NBA.com, the Wizards met with Sefolosha today in Washington.
Marc J. Spears confirmed this report but noted that no offer was made to the free agent guard by Washington.
Sefolosha is an interesting option for the Wizards but he seems to make a lot of sense. It really all comes down to the money and who else is interested in him that would raise his price.
Washington doesn’t have a lot of money to spend but should they be able to find enough to add Sefolosha they may avoid a setback from this past season into next.
