Things haven’t been as peachy in SOuth Beach as they once were, as the Miami Heat missed out on history and are now missing out on pretty everything after as well.

The Miami Heat need to find a way to start signing free agents this offseason rather than just think about doing it. That’s why Pat Riley was in Chicago today to pitch Luol Deng on signing with the Heat and it’s why he brought a special guest with him to help make the pitch to the All-Star.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the meeting between Pat Riley and Loul Deng also included Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.
Sam Amick from USA TOday points out that the logistics of a deal with Deng don’t make fiscal sense at the moment.
Here’s the bottom line with Deng: he’s coming off an All-Star season and he’s not going to be giving discounts. There’s no saying when Deng will be coming off an All-Star season and also looking for a new contract again, so he’s well within his rights to ask for $12 million per season.
