When Miami Heat forward LeBron James and, guard Dwyane Wade and big man Chris Bosh opted out of their contracts to become unrestricted free agents, the thought was they all would return, potentially at a discounted rate, and try to help Heat president Pat Riley recruit other free agents to join the Heat.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

However, as time continues to pass, it seems more and more likely the team is going to break out. A report recently surfaced Bosh and Wade are worried about James remaining with the team and that has caused the rumors around Bosh to Heat up. The Houston Rockets are one of his suitors. Although they reportedly covet both James and New York Knicks’ free agent forward Carmelo Anthony, they don’t seem to be in the picture for either (although it would not be a complete shock to see Anthony select the Rockets – he visited Houston Wednesday) and they have turned their attention to Bosh, a Texas native.

Many believe if James leaves, Bosh is out the door as well.  A return to the Cleveland Cavaliers is the latest rumor surrounding James and it is beginning to look like a very plausible scenario.

James is scheduled to meet with Riley this week and Joe Kotoch of Pro Basketball Draft reports there is a “growing expectation” James is meeting Riley to inform him he is signing with the Cavaliers.

James averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 56.7% from the field, 37.9% from three and 75.0% from the charity stripe last season.
