Well, after a great deal of speculation, it seems as if LeBron James has indeed made his mind up during his free agency period, and according to Chris Sheridan, the King will indeed be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to the report from Sheridan, James has made his mind up and he has more than likely informed the Miami Heat of his decision earlier today in their meeting together out in Las Vegas.

"The Decision has been made. LeBron James is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a league source tells SheridanHoops.com.James met with Miami Heat president Pat Riley today in Las Vegas to deliver the news. A contingent of other Heat officials were informed they were not welcome at the meeting, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity."

In the past few days, LeBron had narrowed down his decision to either returning to the Cavaliers, which he will be doing, or re-signing with the Miami Heat, the team that he spurned the Cavaliers for four years ago and won two NBA championships with during his tenure.

But now, he will be heading back up north to his home state to mend the fences with the folks that were so upset by his departure, and finish what he started–leading the Cavaliers to the promised land of the NBA championship.

James did indeed meet with Pat Riley and the Heat contingent on Wednesday, and the meeting ended around 7:30 PM ET. It was a rather short meeting, compared to most important ones of this nature, and LeBron did leave without committing anything to a return to Miami.

That is not good news for Riley and the Miami organization, as more dominoes will certainly begin to fall from this. More than likely, should Sheridan’s report be accurate, then Chris Bosh will surely jump on the max deal that he was offered by the Houston Rockets. To further add to the speculation, ESPN’s Chris Broussard, who is one of the closest insiders to LeBron’s camp, has reported that, as of this point, a final decision has not been made.
