The New York Knicks thought they’d give Lamar Odom a chance and see if he had anything left in the tank to help them out this season. That shot at making the Knicks roster was short lived though as the team has already decided to waive him following  a shorter than short than short stint.

More from NBA

It was a quiet dismissal for Lamar Odom this time around as the Knicks clearly weren’t liking what they saw out of him and his exit is more of a whimper than anything else — although that would imply that there was any substance to stay at all with New York. ,

The Knicks made the announcement through their PR Twitter account.

Odom has had a rough go of things recently and his career in basketball seems to be over. He hasn’t been able to latch on anywhere and he’s had bouts with off the court incidents that have caused him to lose focus in both his personal and professional life.

He may still have something left in the tank, but the desperate Knicks can’t even gins a good use for him and that’s telling of hos watered down is talents and skills are compared to where they once were.
