According to the reporting of the Hartford Courant, the content of the text messages aren’t known but the timeline of the texts is interesting to note.
The report indicates the text messages are from February through May of 2012, and seem to start along the time that Hernandez is accused of shooting witness Alexander Bradley in the eye down in Florida.
What is also interesting is the access we’ll have to the behind the scenes running of the Patriots, as not only were the texts between coach and player part of the discovery turned over, but so too were interviews with many Patriot employees.
Owner Robert Kraft, director of football Berj Najarian, director of player personnel Nicholas Caserio and strength coaches Harold Nash and Moses Cabrera were all also interviewed about this case.
Additionally, the medical records the team had on Hernandez have already been turned over by the team, despite it fighting to keep nine pages of scouting reports and psychological testing secret.
Hernandez not only faces murder charges in the case of Odin Lloyd, but also faces two more counts of murder for a drive-by shooting in July of 2012.
