Who cares about Nerlens Noel throwing down a simple dunk? Let’s make things more complicated and flashier. Let’s see some real highlights. Portland Trail Blazers’ Will Barton and Thomas Robinson made it look easy, connecting on a between the legs alley oop. The veteran Summer Leaguers turn the breakaway into a highlight reel. You’ve got to check the video out:

The two second-year Trail Blazers have been helping the squad during Summer League play, however the Blazers fell to the Hawks 88-65 and missed out on a quarterfinals berth. Of course Summer League doesn’t actually matter. So these guys won in the real competition, which is entertain us folks at home. I hope they entertained you as much as they did me.

The duo will likely spend much of the offseason getting ready to compete for minutes. Barton can continue to nip at Wesley Matthews heels while Thomas Robinson does the same with LaMarcus Aldridge. Naturally, Barton may have a bit more success than Robinson.

It would be optimistic, however, to say that either one of them will see much playing time next season. Both are averaging just under five minutes per game. That is where they will safely sit for the next season.
