Jamaal Charles wants more money, and he will not be reporting to Kansas City Chiefs training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri until he gets a pay day. Or until the fines become too much.

According to Brad Fanning of KCTV5, Charles will be a training camp holdout for the team.

Last season, Jamaal Charles was selected to the Pro Bowl after racking up 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, the Kansas City Chiefs star running back added an additional 693 yards and 7 touchdowns in the receiving game. In 2012, Charles was able to rush for more than 1,500 yards, so he is certainly deserving of a big money deal.

Now, he is trying to force the team’s hand.

For a team that struggled to find consistent offense early in the season, Charles’ spark carried the team.

Without Charles, who is just 27 years old, the Chiefs offense could take a major step backwards so they will need to find a way to address the situation as swiftly as possible.
