The Cavaliers struck a deal with the Jazz on Tuesday that landed them John Lucas, Erik Murphy and Erik Thomas, three player who carry along with them non-guaranteed contracts.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, this move was specifically designed to help them in their ongoing pursuit of Love’s services.
As everyone knows, the pursuit of Love by the Cavaliers really heated up with the announcement of LeBron James’ return. It’s been no secret that James wants Love as part of the team that will chase a few championships for the next few seasons to come, even going so far as to reach out to him personally just recently.
But it’s ultimately up to Dan Gilbert and the front office to try and put a deal together that will appease the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they are certainly making a good effort.
