Ronald Reagan is dead and Mike Modano may or may not be actively aware of this fact.

More from Dallas Stars

The former President of the United States and the man who conservatives hold on a pedestal they way liberals look at JFK, died a decade ago but has come up once again in the most bizarre of ways.

Former Dallas Stars legend Mike Modano asked his Twitter followers the other day where Reagan had gone and the responses he got were obvious and exactly what you’d expect they’d be.

It’s possible that Modano had a Peter Gammons style Twitter brain fart but it’s more likely that he was making a political statement about the current state of whatever party he was talking about.

That’s not the point here, the point is that the Twitter police decided that they needed to inform an educated man that a president he was mentioning was dead — which both shows how informed and how gullible Twitter users on the whole tend to be.
