David Price thought trade deadline was yesterday in postgame interview

For a guy who has been linked in trade talks as much as Rays pitcher David Price has, you would think that he would know when the non-waiver trade deadline was.

In the post game interview after his 5-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday, Price said that he thought the trade deadline ended today at four.

Sorry, Mr. Price, but you have to wait another day.  And this day has certainly seen it’s share of rumors regarding David Price.  Mentioned in such deals are the can’t miss prospects such as Joc Pederson of the Dodgers and Gregory Polanco of the Pirates.  But are the Rays really willing to move their ace when they are playing as well as they have in July?

According to his interview, Price probably won’t even find out if he has been traded until after his round of golf.  Maybe that is for the better.
