The Super Bowl 48 rematch was on last night as the Denver Broncos took on the Seattle Seahawks. Although the game was essentially meaningless due to the fact that it was the preseason opener, the Broncos did get some revenge by defeating the defending champions 21-16.

Among the major storylines coming from last night’s game was DeMarcus Ware’s Broncos debut. In limited snaps last night Ware was uber impressive. In the first set of the game Ware was able to sack Russell Wilson, force an incompletion, and stuff a run play.
Ware discussed his debut with Broncos analyst Andrew Mason (Courtesy of Denver Broncos):
"That’s what they brought me in here for, to make big plays and put pressure on the quarterback, and that’s what I love to do. We can see the spark that we have, the talent that we have on our defense, and how we can play with really great tenacity. So we’ve got to keep that up and build each week to become the defense that we want to be."
Ware’s presence on defense for the Broncos could aid the team in returning to the Super Bowl this year. A proven pass rusher, Ware also has the ability to cover tight ends if need be.
Ware is one of the more versatile defensive players in the league, and he showed his prowess last night in his Broncos debut. Fans of the Broncos should be excited for Ware’s prospects for the upcoming season. The only thing to do now for Ware is to stay healthy.
