While the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to terms on a deal that will send Andrew Wiggins and Andrew Bennett to the Wolves and Kevin Love to the Cavs, the deal can not officially be done until August 23 because Wiggins recently signed his rookie contract.

So, LeBron James can’t technically call Kevin Love a teammate of his just yet, but he did speak about the idea of the trade during a meeting with the media prior to his homecoming celebration in Akron on Friday.

Again, it’s clear LeBron knows this trade is a done deal, but he simply can’t say so at this point.

It’s understandable why James would be excited to talk about the move. The trade for Love immediately make the Cavaliers the front-runner in the Eastern Conference.  A trio of LeBron, Love and Kyrie Irving is as strong as any in the entire league.

LeBron averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists this past season. Love averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds. Irving averaged 20.8 points and 6.1 assists per game.
