Friday night was a very special night in the state of Ohio. More specifically, it was a special night in the city of Akron as a rather large crowd welcomed home Cavaliers star LeBron James, who announced last month that he would be returning to the organization after a four-year absence. Well, he definitely made his presence felt on Friday, especially to Ohio State fans, as he led them in one of the more famous chants in all of college sports.

With everyone hanging off of every word The King was saying into the microphone, LeBron led them all in the infamous O-H-I-O chant, and to be quite frank, it was a pretty awesome moment.

It’s no secret that LeBron is indeed an Ohio State fan. As a matter of fact, he has stated on multiple occasions that if he had to go to college for one season like the high school kids these days do, he would have played for the Buckeyes.

And already since he announced that he would be leaving the Miami Heat to return home, Buckeyes football head coach Urban Meyer has reached out to him to tell him that he has an open invitation to any Ohio State football game that he wants.

It’s just amazing to see not only how much the people love LeBron being home, but how much he seems to love being back there. This will be a fun journey to watch play out over the next few years.
