The Dallas Cowboys have a number of question marks on their roster, ranging from the health of Tony Romo to the disastrous showing put forth by their defense last season. Despite those concerns, Dez Bryant is confident in what he can control. On offense anyways, Bryant thinks the Cowboys are all set.

More from Dallas Cowboys

“We can be great,” Bryant told the Star-Telegram. “We can be. It’s all about believing.”

That’s some Disney-style motivation right there, but it’s refreshing to hear Bryant speak candidly without causing a stir. As troubled as the Cowboys roster can look at times, the team has plenty of offensive talent to prove Bryant’s words true. Naturally, much of their success will hinge on Tony Romo and how he recovers from back surgery. Just don’t tell Dez the receiving corps needs to improve.

“Here in Dallas, the wide receiver group backs down from no one,” Bryant said. “We don’t accept defeat and we’re going to fight. We want to be the best. In our eyes, we want to work to be the best receiving corps in the league. That’s what we want.”

The receiving corps may need some work to get there, but Dez Bryant is more than capable of backing up his talk with more Pro Bowl caliber play. Whether or not that lifts the Cowboys to greatness is yet to be seen.
