The Minnesota Vikings are looking at Matt Cassel and Teddy Bridgewater and trying to decide which of the two are worthy of stating this upcoming season.

At the moment, Cassel appears to have a slight edge on Bridgewater, but the rookie quarterback isn’t backing down, even if he’s slipping up a bit in camp.

According to ESPN.com’s Ben Goessling, Teddy Bridgewater isn’t doing terrible in Vikings camp, but he appears to be over thinking things — which is something he readily admits to.

"“I haven’t been pressing, but I have been overthinking things,” Bridgewater said on Thursday. “A lot has been thrown at me so far, but I just have to continue to put the time in with studying, and eventually things will start unfolding.”"

While it’s not so good that he’s over-thinking things, it’s positive that Bridgewater is aware of his mistakes and is making the time to change things up. That doesn’t mean he will for sure fix things in time to win the starting role, but having Bridgewater aware of his mistakes as he makes them is an encouraging sign for his growth.
