The NBA offseason was once about LeBron James coming back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but when Paul George’s ankle almost snapped off in a Team USA scrimmage, the tone of the summer changed a bit.

More from Indiana Pacers

It’s an injury that has come to define the late summer months of the offseason, but George isn’t letting the injury own him, rather he’s owning the injury.

While mostly all of those watching the scrimmage saw the injury happen in real time, George lived through it and didn’t need to see it unfold on camera. That didn’t stop him from watching his injury video though, as he confirmed that he watched footage of what he went through after it happened.

It’s not surprising that George has only watched the video once, but what is more surprising is that he’s watched it at all. The man lived though one of the most gruesome injuries every seen, and the fact that he watched is back shows that George is fearless.
