Tom Brady throws pick-six on opening drive against Philadelphia Eagles (GIF)

Thursday night the New England Patriots are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles during the second week of the NFL preseason, and well, it’s pretty safe to say that things did not get off to a good start for the legendary Tom Brady.
On the Pats’ opening drive against the Eagles, Brady dropped back to pass and he found the wrong person in the wrong jersey in the form of Eagles cornerback Cary Williams, who then proceeded to take the pick all the way, 77 yards, back to the house for the first score of the game.
Up to that point, the Patriots had a pretty good drive going, and it seemed as if they were going to be the ones to strike first. However, one errant pass from Brady was all it took to change those fortunes.

This is a good sign, though, for an Eagles defense that head coach Chip Kelly was looking to improve this season. We saw last year that this team is capable of making the playoffs, however they needed to step their defensive game up first.
Williams showed here that they’re headed in a good direction.
