The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral and has pervaded the NBA, with the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, John Wall and others taking the plunge.

Now the challenge has been accepted by former NBA players. After all, they are tougher than today’s players, right?

NBA great Isiah Thomas posted a video on Instagram, calling out contemporaries Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan.

This is the fun of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and it’s for a good cause. Thomas did it the right way, calling out his peers (unlike James, who called out Barack Obama in easily the most arrogant of ice bucket challenges).

It’ll be interesting to see if Magic, Bird and Jordan respond. I would assume Magic would do it, smiling the entire time. Maybe Jordan waits for Bird, and then doubles the size of his bucket. If anyone is going to get overly competitive, it would be those two. Thomas may have opened up a can of worms.
