The Oakland A’s made a few big trades before the deadline passed for non-waiver trades back in July but they may not be done dealing.

Oakland has struggled since the trade deadline to make anything happen and while they try to sort out just what is going wrong, they are looking to fix things with some infield help.

According to MLB scribe Steve Adams, the A’s will likely look for infield help before the end of August on trade waivers but won’t likely find what they want.

"Valbuena makes sense for them. I thought they’d be a good fit for Asdrubal, but it sounds like Cleveland absolutely loved Zach Walters, which they must have, to pay the entirety of Cabrera’s contract. Probably was tough for Oakland to match that."

It’s unclear if the Cubs would find a deal worth doing for Valbuena but the bottom line is that the A’s need to figure something out down the stretch of the season because if they flame out after their boisterous trades at the deadline, it will be a collapse of the most epic and historical proportions.
