The Indiana Pacers have had about as bad of an offseason as anyone can imagine. First, the Pacers lost guard Lance Stephenson in free agency. He turned down a deal reportedly worth $44 million over five years and instead signed a three-year, $27 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets. Then, they lost their best player, forward Paul George, to a fractured right leg which should cost him the entire season.

That had led to speculation the Pacers could clean house and trade center Roy Hibbert and power forward David West.

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders believes Hibbert is a player too watch as far as trades go this season.

"Some names to keep an eye on are Rajon Rondo, Thaddeus Young, Roy Hibbert, Brandon Bass, J.J. Barea, Eric Gordon and Iman Shumpert. All of these guys have been mentioned in trade rumors and could be moved before February’s trade deadline……I included Hibbert, Bass, Barea, Gordon and Shumpert because their names keep coming up in trade scenarios. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. It seems like those players have been shopped and they could be on the move."

Hibbert averaged 10.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc and 77.0% from the free throw line last season. Over his career, he’s put up 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 4.7% from the floor, 30.0% from three and 73.7% from the charity stripe.
