The Philadelphia 76ers  are trying to get involved in the Kevin Love trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves but their involvement in helping get the deal done won’t come at a cheap price.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

It was initially reported that the Timberwolves and 76ers would be exchanging Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young in a trade but it now appears that such a deal will not be happening. Still, the Sixers could end up trading Young to the Wolves for a different package of players but their demands are getting higher and higher.

According to Jerry Zgoda from the Star Tribune, the Sixers now want a first-round pick to make the trade happen.

This is Philadelphia pestering their way to getting a first rounder they didn’t get for Young back at the trade deadline. The 76ers know that they’re needed to make this trade happen so they’re going to get all they can out of the deal and use their position in the situation to become as powerful and demanding as they can be.
