With the 2014 Emmy Awards in the books, the football news of the day reported, discussed, debated, and processed, and most of the world asleep and preparing themselves for Tuesday, there is still live baseball happening on the west coast.

More from Miami Marlins

More specifically on this night, there is live baseball happening on the west coast that includes two of Major League Baseball’s most exciting players in Mike Trout and Giancarlo Stanton. It is not often that the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Angels play against one another, hence it is not often that Trout and Stanton are on the same field.

The eyes of many interested baseball fans turned to this game, especially given its implications for both teams in their respective playoff races, with the hopes of seeing a spectacular moment from one or both of those star players.

Having already seen his team charge out an early four-run lead, it was Stanton who delivered a highlight moment in the fourth inning of this one. As if the world needed a reminder of what Stanton does to pitches that get too much of the plate, the big man absolutely obliterated a center-cut pitch, sending it over the left-center field fence on a rope to stretch out the Miami lead even further.

It was his 33rd home run of the season.
