Online sports book Bovada.lv has released its final preseason odds for the Heisman Trophy and the national championship and, no surprise, the favorites are the same as they were when the odds were first put on the board.

More from College Football

Florida State, which won the last championship of the BCS era, is a 4/1 favorite to win the first championship of the new playoff era at 4/1.

Bovada’s top 10 best bets to be the last team standing in January:

  • 4/1—Florida State
  • 5/1—Alabama
  • 15/2—Oregon
  • 10/1—Auburn, Oklahoma
  • 14/1—UCLA
  • 16/1—Georgia
  • 20/1—Ohio State
  • 22/1—LSU
  • 25/1—Michigan State

There has been some movement in the Heisman Trophy odds, with Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller done for the season after shoulder surgery. But Bovada still likes Winston’s chances of becoming just the second player to win two Heismans (Archie Griffin of Ohio State in 1974-75 was the other).

But Winston is only a slight favorite over Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The 11 players getting the best odds right now are:

  • 9/2—Jameis Winston, Florida State QB
  • 5/1—Marcus Mariota, Oregon QB
  • 10/1—Brett Hundley, UCLA QB
  • 12/1—Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin RB; Nick Marshall, Auburn QB; Bryce Petty, Baylor QB
  • 14/1—Todd Gurley, Georgia RB
  • 18/1—Trevor Knight, Oklahoma QB
  • 20/1—Everett Golson, Notre Dame QB; Derrick Henry, Alabama RB; T.J. Yeldon, Alabama RB

The 2014 college football season opens Wednesday night when Abilene Christian takes on Georgia State.

That game did not move these odds in any discernible manner.
