Australia has a grand total of five NBA players on their roster — Dante Exum (Utah Jazz), Cameron Bairstow (Chicago Bulls), Aron Baynes (San Antonio Spurs), Matthew Dellavedova (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Exum’s teammate in Utah, Brock Motum.
The lone NBA player for Slovenia is Goran Dragic of the Phoenix Suns.
Both teams are members of Group D, which is one of the weaker groups with Angola, South Korea, Australia, Slovenia, Mexico and Lithuania.
All six teams in the group will play against each other before Sept. 4, with the top four teams in the group after five games advancing to the elimination round of the tournament which is being hosted in Spain.
