The Cleveland Cavaliers finally acquired Kevin Love this summer and they’ll be plugging him into their new Big 3 when the season starts.

But this isn’t the first Big 3 that LeBron James has been a part of, and Kevin Love is starting to look awfully familiar to James when it comes to the role that the All-Star will play in the lineup.

According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, by being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, Kevin Love basically assumed the Chris Bosh role of being the third wheel in the Cavs’ Big 3.

This isn’t surprising as many saw that Love would be the third option for the Cavaliers if he was traded there as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving are above him in both stature and being scoring options. Even Love’s former employer believed he’d be a third option on the team, which is rather obvious given what the Cavs roster looks like.

But when specifically comparing the Cavaliers Big 3 to the Heat one that it has replaced, Love undoubtedly fits into the Bosh role no matter how you spin it. Many would argue that Bosh is and was the superior player when he entered the Big 3 back in 2010, which means Love has a lot of work to do to make sure he doesn’t fade in Cleveland the way Bosh was prone to vanishing acts by default in Miami.
