There has been plenty of movement in the NFL over the last few days.

More from New Orleans Saints

Teams have been trying to get down to their 53-man rosters and fill out their practice squads.

Several teams have made some surprising cuts but overall, nothing two earth-shattering has happened.

However, players sometimes have no idea when they will be released and often times teams release players with the intention of bringing them back in just a few days or sometimes after the season starts so they don’t have to guarantee their contracts for an entire season.

Just four days ago, the New Orleans Saints waived veteran wide receiver Robert Meachem. On Thursday, the team decided to bring him back, re-signing Meachem to what is likely a one-year deal – terms have not yet been disclosed.

The Saints announced the move via their official twitter account.

Meachem was drafted by the Saints with the 27th-overall pick in the first round of the 2007 draft. He spent his first four seasons in New Orleans before leaving for the San Diego Chargers in 2012. After one season out west, he returned to New Orleans. Last season, Meachem made 16 receptions for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He has 171 catches for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns in his career.
