Andray Blatche remains one of the more intriguing names left on the market. His baggage has left him available, but his raw skills could be enticing for a team willing to take the gamble. A team that has shown a willingness to take a risk on big men in the past is the Miami Heat, and according to a sports broadcaster in the Philippines, Blatche was seen on his way to Miami.

More from Miami Heat

Blatche competed on the Philippines National Team but failed to make the knock-out round. Leaving from the Philippines, Blatche was on his way back to the states and his destination was Miami. This leads one to believe he has a workout with the Heat. Miami has reportedly inquired about Blatche’s services already this summer.

Blatche has had an up-and-down career but played really well in FIBA, averaging 21.2 points and 13.8 rebounds. That should come with a grain of salt, though, since FIBA basketball isn’t exactly known as the most physical.

However, Blatche brings baggage. But that hasn’t stopped Miami from taking flyers on guys like Eddy Curry, Chris Andersen and Greg Oden in the past. Unlike those guys, Blatche is actually in his prime and brings more skills to the table. Him ending up in Miami seems entirely possible.
