Michael Vick knows a thing or two about second chances. The New York Jets quarterback was given another shot at playing in the NFL in 2009 after he served jail time for his participation in a dogfighting ring.

Vick told Rich Cimini of ESPN New York that he would like to see running back Ray Rice, who is currently suspended indefinitely by the NFL after video of his recent domestic violence dispute was released, be given a similar second chance.
From Michael Vick: "“Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to tell Ray Rice right now. ...That situation is just so out of control." (via WFAN).

Regardless of Vick and presumably Rice’s wishes, getting back to the NFL won’t be easy for Rice. Perhaps a team would be willing to take a risk on Rice if he were still an elite running back in the NFL, but that’s simply not the case anymore. Rice rushed for just 660 yards on 214 carries for the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said on Tuesday he didn’t believe Rice would be back in the league.

Rice has rushed for 6,180 yards and 27 touchdowns throughout his career.
