The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting a lot of hype about what they can do this season with the new roster that they assembled but it’s starting to look like there is more pressure on them than anyone thought.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Not only is there pressure on the Cavaliers but there are holes in the roster that may open the team up to potentially falling short of their goal of winning an NBA title this season.

According to Sam Amico from Fox Sports Ohio, the Cavaliers are looking at a situation where they may be in need of a backup point guard and that’s something that could lead them to making a move in the near future.

"I don’t know if that’s in the cards, but I sure think it’d be a good idea. John Lucas III, obtained from Utah, could be that type of guy, I don’t know. I can tell you this much — it’d be a good idea to have veteran options behind Kyrie Irving (and not just Dellavedova, as much as I like him)."

Cleveland might not jump at the chance to acquire a point guard but they’re not going to sit on not having one. Getting as much depth behind Kyrie as possible is something the team needs to do and it’s looking like they’ll need to make a decision one way or the other on it soon.
