Kenneth Faried never stood a chance.

More from Golden State Warriors

The Denver Nuggets big man participated in a shooting contest with Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry during a recent Team USA practice and, of course, was defeated by the point guard.

Watch video of the contest below:

While a Curry victory here is absolutely expected, one has to give the Warriors stud credit for knocking down such a long-distance shot while sitting down. As seen in the clip, even Faried is very impressed by Curry’s shooting prowess.

However, it would have been nice to see Curry compete against another guard. Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden can be seen taking a shot from the bench in the video, but it doesn’t appear as if he’s really trying his best to knock it down.

Curry’s best matchup from the Team USA roster would likely be his Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson. Still, the smart money would be on Steph.

Curry has knocked down 44.0 percent of his three-point attempts during the career and is already making a strong case to be the greatest shooter of all time. Thompson has an impressive 41.0 percent conversion rate on attempts from beyond the arc, while Faried, not surprisingly, has never made a three in an NBA game.
