Although the Washington Redskins are playing well against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, they had a nightmare of a first quarter.

More from Jacksonville Jaguars

First, they lost quarterback Robert Griffin III to what they are calling an ankle injury. Griffin was carted off of the field.

Then, they lost their key offseason acquisition – former Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who was released by the Eagles in the offseason.

That, however, hasn’t stopped them from taking complete control of the Jaguars.

In the first quarter, backup quarterback Kirk Cousins found Darrel Young for a 20-yard touchdown. Then, Alfred Morris finished off a seven-play, 66-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0.
