The king of controversy in Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had nothing to say after a rough outing in a loss to the San Diego Chargers. According to Tom Krasovic, reporter for UTSanDiego.com, the talkative cornerback refused to talk to the media after the game.

Arguably the best cornerback in the NFL, what draws so much attention to Sherman is his knack for entertaining reporters and fans by way of word when he exceeds at his job. We saw it all throughout last season and most notably in the NFC championship game when he caused the game-ending interception, leading to one of the biggest rants in sports history.

But today, Sherman–and the rest of the Seahawks defense-struggled to contain the Chargers offense, allowing 284 yards and 3 touchdowns from Phillip Rivers–all 3 touchdowns were to tight end Antonio Gates. And unlike Aaron Rodgers, Rivers didn’t shy away from throwing to Sherman’s man, including this nifty juke seen below.

Regardless of how good a cornerback Sherman is, if he’s going to dish the trash talk, he’s gonna have to step up to the podium when things don’t go his way. As the best corner in the league, that may not be often, but in an incident like this, it’s a bad look for his reputation.
