Maurice Jones-Drew not optimistic about playing Week 3
By Josh Hill
The injury bug hit the NFL hard on Sunday as just about every single team that played suffered an injury to a notable or major player. In Washington it was Robert Griffin III, in Tampa Bay it was Gerald McCoy and out in Oakland the Raiders have potentially lost one of their key cogs in the offense.

It’s not much of an offense, but that just makes any blow to the Raiders unit one that they cannot afford. After making it viral in Week one for punting his own fumble, Maurice Jones-Drew is making it back onto the injury report and it’s not looking good.
According to Raiders reporter John Middlekauff, Jones-Drew is not optimistic about playing Week 3 when Oakland takes on the New England Patriots.
The Raiders are sinking fast again and injuries or not, it’s looking like Dennis Allen might not survive the season to it’s end. Still, Oakland has time to turn it around, as Carolina started out winless but wont the remainder of their games to make the postseason.
