Channing Frye Gave Dewayne Dedmon Thirteen Pairs of Shoes

Trying to find shoes when you have big feet is a ridiculous problem. I wear a size 13 myself and often have to order online or go into stores and scrape the bargain bin as many retailers just don’t typically stock shoes that big. So I can’t imagine being an NBA player with even bigger feet trying to get a hold of a pair of shoes, especially when you don’t have some sort of deal with a shoe company. As it turns out the easiest way to get shoes in that case may just be to befriend Channing Frye.

Now I am not a shoe aficionado like some others but even I can tell Dewayne Dedmon got the hookup from his new Magic teammate. That is 13 different pairs of shoes with all different colorways. My favorite are the red and yellow ones in the first column but really they are all pretty cool and all size 18, which I can imagine is a size almost impossible to find anywhere.

By all accounts Frye is one of the real good guys in the league so seeing him do something like this for a teammate isn’t all that surprising. He has been around the league for almost ten years now so he probably has his fair share of shoes through that and needed to get rid of some of them. Dedmond meanwhile has just 31 NBA games under his belt as an undrafted free agent so he probably is going to get plenty of use out of all of these.
