The Miami Dolphins offensive line was exposed this past weekend against a stout Buffalo Bills defensive line. The Bills won the game in the trenches, as Ryan Tannehill had no time to get in any sort of rhythm as the pocket collapsed over and over again.

Coming off a strong Week 1 against the New England Patriots, the Dolphins offensive line looked shaky in Buffalo. Besides the sacks allowed, the offensive line also committed several penalties ranging from false starts to delay of game.

As the Dolphins host the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend, they know that the offensive line needs to play a lot better if the team wants to win their second home game this season.

Today, the Dolphins offensive line got exceptional news as Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey returned to practice for the first time since offseason hip surgery.

“Just getting back in the groove, it felt good to be back here with my football team,” Pouncey told Dolphins media after practice. “I felt normal. It feels normal. It just feels good to get back in the stance without it hurting again. Right now it’s just listening to what the team doctors tell me as far as how many reps I take in practice, but I’m full go almost.”

As of now, there is no word as to whether or not Pouncey will play this Sunday, but he mentioned that it is up to the coaches to decide.

“Honestly, you just listen to what the coaches say or the doctors say because they know best,” Pouncey continued. “Right now, I’m just trying to go back out there and get back up to the level of play I know I can play at.”

If Pouncey does return to the Dolphins this week, it will be a huge boost for the offense moving forward.
