NFL: The most disappointing players through Week 2
By Pete Schauer
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
It’s not often that Tom Brady makes a list like this–okay, it’s never–but the start of the 2014 season hasn’t been kind to the two-time Super Bowl MVP.
In Week 1, Brady and the New England Patriots ran into a determined Miami Dolphins squad that held the Pro Bowl QB in check, as Brady completed just 29 of 56 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown. He finished with an ugly 51.8 completion percentage and 69.7 passer rating, and was sacked four times in the 33-20 loss.
While he was able to lead his Pats to victory in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, Brady still only threw one touchdown and saw a lot of New England’s drives stall, leading to three Stephen Gostkowski field goals.
I expect things to get better for Brady as the season progresses, but whether you own Brady in fantasy or are a Pats fan, you can’t tell me you’re not disappointed by his play so far this season.
