The Dallas Cowboys suffered an embarrassing loss in Week 1. They responded in the following week with a big win over the Tennessee Titans, a team that had knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs, a playoff team, in their opener.

They did so by rededicating themselves to the run, and had a drive last over six minutes to kill off the clock in the fourth quarter and end the game, something former Cowboys teams hadn’t done and was a main point of criticism against them.

In the meantime, it looked like the Cowboys found their groove and former Cowboys quarterback Danny White told The Dallas Morning News’ David Moore and Robert Wilonsky on Intentional Grounding on KTCK-AM 1310 that the Cowboys looked like a playoff team.

Not just any playoff team, the Cowboys playoff teams that led to Super Bowl wins.

“I saw for the first time in a long time, and I mean years, a team on Sunday that looked like a playoff team,” White said. “By that I mean a throwback to the good ol’ days, when Tony Dorsett ran for 130 yards and the Doomsday Defense and the quarterback threw for 180 yards and you won football games because you didn’t turn the ball over. And that’s what they looked like to me on Sunday.”
