Fantasy Football: Rob Gronkowski may not be 100 percent all season
By Josh Hill
The New England Patriots bounced back in Week 2 to even their record at 1-1, and a game against the lowly Oakland Raiders on Sunday all but assures a 2-1 start to the season.

It’s not that anyone is saying this is a preseason game for the Patriots, but it could be a chance for the team to test out tight end Rob Gronkowski a little more — at least, that’s what his fantasy owners are hoping for. It’s been a slow start to the season for Gronk and things aren’t speeding up anytime soon.
As pointed out by Erik Frenz of the Boston Globe, don’t expect Gronkowski to be 100 percent this entire season and he may not get back to Gronk-type levels of production until the postseason.
"Players typically don’t get back to 100 percent of their former self until a year after surgery. Thus, while Gronkowski could very well play the whole season, he may not be back to his former self until the end of this season or sometimes next season."
This is good news for the Patriots, as it means Gronk might be 100 percent healthy for a potential meeting with the Denver Broncos in the postseason. It’s bad news, however, to Gronkowski fantasy owners as the tight end won’t be producing on the level folks are used to and could end up being a big bust for those who drafted him.
