Derek Jeter has less than a month left in this MLB career and unless the New York Yankees find a way to make the playoffs, we may be watching the final stretch of his long and illustrious career.

It’s just now sinking in that this is the final ride for one of the greatest baseball players ever, and that means his memorabilia sales are through the roof. Folks are selling off balls, jerseys and autographs they get at games like never before as even Jeter foul balls are being classified as valuable.

Well, not everyone views a Derek Jeter foul ball the same way. While one guy might pay hundreds to get his hands on Jeter’s foul balls, one littler girl could care less about having one.

At the Yankees-Blue Jays game this week, a father grabbed a valuable piece of baseball memorabilia for his daughter — who promptly threw it back onto the field.

This has to be a devastating moment for that father as a Derek Jeter foul ball could probably net you a pretty penny with the way people are going nuts over his memorabilia. But while a cheap joke could go here about how upset this father is, chances are he’s probably not that torn up.

Baseball games with your father are all about the bonding experience and the memories created, and there’s few memories as hilarious or great as the one this man just shared with his little girl.

Sure, the Derek Jeter foul ball was probably priceless, but so too is this memory of that little girl throwing what was easily a couple hundred dollars worth of profit back into the field of play.
