The Sacramento Kings continue to add to their roster this offseason as another crucial piece has been signed. It may not be a championship season, but the Kings are at least showing some fight as they’ve signed free agent point guard Ramon Sessions to a two-year deal.

It seems an odd strategy to pile up guards the way the Kings are doing as they now have ben McLemore, Nik Stauskas, Darren Collison and Ramon Sessions on roster. Couple that with Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins though, and the Kings don’t look that bad.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Kings have locked down a deal with Sessions that will pay him $4.2 million over the next two seasons.

Woj furthers the report, stating that Sessions is heading to Sacramento on a bi-annual agreement.

Sacramento needs to pull themselves out of the funk they’ve been in over the last few years but that’s a lot easier said than done. Their roster isn’t terrible and probably could make the postseason in the Eastern Conference, but they don’t play over there.

It’s still going to be a tough season but at the very least the Kings are showing some fight in trying to put together a competitive roster.
