Derek Jeter tears up when he takes the field for final game at Yankee Stadium (Video)

Thursday night will most certainly be one of the more emotional nights in the history of Major League Baseball. Thursday night signals the final game of Derek Jeter at Yankee Stadium, a moment that no Yankee fan really wanted to think about.

Nonetheless, the moment is indeed here and everyone has come to that realization throughout the course of the past few days. Jeter, though, has remained about as calm, cool and collected as ever, traits which have made him one of the better winners in the history of sports.
But, Jeter could only hold himself together for so long. Once he hit that Yankee Stadium field on Thursday night against the Baltimore Orioles, it seemed to all hit him at once and the tears looked as if they were about to start flowing.
For as strong as Jeter is as a person and as a player, there was no way that a moment like this was not going to hit him in a big way. When something is as big a part of your life as the Yankees have been to Jeter in his life, you can only hold emotion back for so long.
