I know what you are thinking, internet. Yes, today would be a great day for a picture of Mike Tyson hanging out with Barry Bonds.

Unsurprising. That is the word I would use for the fact that Tyson considers Barry Bonds to be the home run king. Unsurprising, indeed.

In this case you have two men who were unbelievable at their respective sports, generational talents each in their own rights. What you also have, unfortunately, is two men who have complicated their lives and tainted their legacies enough that they are little more than punchlines these days.

They are punchlines to observations like this one: why is Mike Tyson holding Barry Bonds’ hand with two hands? Your jokes are welcome.

Or this one: anybody else notice that Barry Bonds has a normal person’s head again, as opposed to the XXXXL head he had during the days of his (alleged) steroid use?

I can only imagine what the conversation is like between these two men, but I presume it centers around their own greatness and how it has been taken away from them for reasons that definitely aren’t their fault. You know, something that like that, something that is totally in touch with reality.
